It started with a feeling we couldn’t recreate.
The kind that lives in Delhi winters. In slow Sunday mornings. In the unmistakable aroma of spices blooming in a hot pan before you even step into the kitchen. At the heart of it all was my mom. One of the most incredible cooks I’ve ever known. No shortcuts. No compromises. A pinch of this. A handful of that. And somehow, everything came together — perfectly.
Every dish — deeply flavorful, perfectly balanced, and made with love that can't be measured. From chole bhature breakfasts that felt like celebration, to everyday meals that never felt ordinary…
That was home.
And then life moved.
From the vibrant, chaotic streets of Delhi to the sunlit kitchens of San Francisco.
Where everything was different. Faster in some ways. Quieter in others. And somewhere in between, something was missing. Not just the food. But the feeling of it.
The spices were there. But the soul was missing.
Too many spices. Too many steps. And somehow — still not enough flavor. So we went back to where it all began. Not to recipes — but to memory. That’s how Delhi to SF was born.
